Prostate Cancer Medication

Most prostate cancer cases are diagnosed in men over 50 years of age. This type of cancer affects men’s prostate gland, which has a function for secreting fluid with sperm. The prostate gland is an organ which surrounds the urethra below the bladder, between rectum and pubic bone. Many people are asking what are the available prostate cancer medication nowadays.

In many cases, prostate cancer at the early stage can be removed successfully by radical prostatectomy surgery. Whereas in healthy diet, patient will have to stop or limit smoking, stop or limit alcohol consumption, as well as emphasizing organic whole foods and limit animal protein consumption.

Some vitamins and supplements can also be used to as prostate cancer medication. Those vitamins and supplements are namely vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin B, antioxidants A & E, and Niacinamide. Besides vitamins and supplements, there are also some minerals which can be used to treat prostate cancer. Those minerals are calcium, magnesium and selenium. Alternatively, minerals, herbal supplements can also be taken to treat prostate cancer. Those herbal supplements include various flavonoids, coenzyme Q10 and pycnogenol (an antioxidant).

However, it is strongly advised to discuss with the doctor before deciding to choose any type of prostate cancer medication. The reason is because the condition of one patient might be specific and different from the other patients.
